• Do I need the original key to get a replacement? No. If you have lost all your keys, we can use a specialized tool called a Lishi decoder to read the depths of the pins inside your car's door lock. We input those depths into our computerized key cutter to generate a perfect key from scratch.
• Is it cheaper than going to the dealership? Yes. Dealerships have massive overhead, and you often have to factor in the cost of towing your car to their lot. Our mobile service eliminates the tow and generally offers the key and programming at a highly competitive rate.
• What is an EEPROM service? Some vehicles (like older Lexus/Toyota models or certain European cars) will not allow new keys to be programmed via the OBD-II port if all keys are lost. We must physically remove the car's computer module, read the EEPROM microchip directly, and write the new key data into the code. We are one of the few locksmiths equipped for this advanced service.
• Can you delete the lost keys from the car's computer? Absolutely. When we program your new keys, we access the vehicle's immobilizer menu and erase all previously programmed keys. If someone finds your lost key, they will not be able to start your car.
